Request a parking tax exemption for Manhattan residents

Manhattan residents with a vehicle parked in a rented space may be eligible for an exemption from the New York City 8% additional tax levied on Manhattan parking space rentals. Individuals who qualify will pay parking tax of 10.375% instead of 18.375%.
Schedule
The certificate remains in effect for two years from the date it was issued, provided there are no changes made within this period. After two years, a renewal application will be mailed to all exemption recipients prior to the expiration date. All certificates expire on August 31st.
