A Public Guardian helps adults who have physical and mental limitations that make them unable to handle basic personal and financial needs with services such as locating housing, developing a care plan, establishing eligibility for government and private benefit programs, and getting appropriate medical care, social work services, money management services. The majority of referrals are from Adult Protective Services and hospitals, but anyone can make a referral.
